When selecting an engine for your 2012 Fiat 500, one of the most critical factors often overlooked is the exact engine identification and condition verification. This 1.4L engine, identified by the engine code EAB and matched to a vehicle with VIN's 8th digit 'R', ensures you are sourcing the correct powertrain for your specific model. The seller notes that this engine ran well, supported by video evidence, which is a valuable assurance of its operational state. However, buyers should verify the engine's compatibility with their vehicle's VIN and confirm all mechanical and electronic configurations before purchase to avoid installation issues. This engine is graded 'A', indicating a high-quality used part, which can be a cost-effective alternative to new engines. Compared to other options, this engine's condition and documentation provide confidence, but always compare the engine ID and the vehicle's VIN to ensure a precise match. The seller's estimate of CO2e savings (1194kg) also highlights the environmental benefit of reusing this engine. For buyers considering this part, check the detailed engine ID (EAB), confirm the VIN's 8th digit is 'R' on your vehicle, and review the provided video to assess running condition. This engine is specifically for the 2012 Fiat 500, so cross-reference your vehicle's specifications carefully.
