2001 Dodge Viper Engine 140234

When considering a replacement engine for your 2001 Dodge Viper, one often overlooked factor is the condition of the engine's mounting points and associated covers, as these can impact installation ease and long-term durability. This listing features an engine graded A, indicating a high-quality unit with minimal wear. However, the seller notes a specific issue: the front cover's mounting (682 MNT ON FRT CVR) is bad, which may require additional repair or replacement parts upon installation. This detail is crucial to factor into your purchase decision, as it could affect both cost and compatibility. The engine comes from a 2001 Dodge Viper, ensuring it is sourced from the exact vehicle model and year, which is essential for maintaining your car's performance and integrity. While the CO2e savings estimate of 1194kg suggests an environmentally conscious choice by reusing parts, it does not directly impact fitment or function. Before purchasing, compare this engine's condition and noted issues with other listings, especially focusing on the front cover mount condition. Verify if your mechanic can address the mounting issue or if you need to source additional parts. This engine is a solid option if you prioritize a well-graded core but be prepared for the noted front cover mount repair. For further exploration, consider browsing other Dodge parts or specifically Viper parts to find complementary components or alternatives. Make sure to confirm all fitment details with your installer and inquire about the front cover mount condition to ensure a smooth replacement process. This engine offers a strong foundation for restoring your Dodge Viper's heart, provided you plan for the minor repair noted.
