When sourcing an engine for a classic 1958 Edsel, one of the most critical yet often overlooked factors is the exact engine configuration and condition, as these directly impact compatibility and performance. This listing offers a 352 cubic inch engine, identified by the seller as "352 FROZ P/S PUMP," indicating it originally included a power steering pump. However, the specific Edsel model this engine came from is not detailed, which means buyers should verify fitment carefully before purchase. This engine is graded "X," suggesting it may have significant wear or require extensive refurbishment. The seller notes an estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg, which may appeal to environmentally conscious restorers considering the ecological impact of their projects. When comparing this engine to others, consider the presence of the power steering pump and whether your vehicle requires it, as well as the engine's overall condition grade. Since the Edsel model is unknown, buyers should cross-reference engine specifications with their vehicle's requirements. This engine is a substantial component, so confirming dimensions and mounting points with your vehicle is essential. The seller stock identifier is T1565B, useful for tracking this specific listing.
