When sourcing an engine for your 2019 Ford Flex, one of the most critical yet often overlooked considerations is ensuring the engine's exact specifications match your vehicle's original setup, especially regarding engine displacement and VIN digit specifics. This listing offers a 3.5L engine, identified by the 8th digit '8' in the VIN, specifically without an oil cooler, which is a key detail that can affect installation compatibility and performance. This engine comes graded as 'A', indicating a high-quality component with presumably minimal wear. The seller notes also estimate a CO2e savings of 1194kg, reflecting an environmentally conscious choice if you are replacing an older or less efficient engine. However, buyers should verify the absence of an oil cooler aligns with their vehicle's requirements, as this can influence cooling system compatibility. Comparing this engine to others, focus on matching the 3.5L displacement and VIN digit to your vehicle's identification to avoid fitment issues. Checking the presence or absence of an oil cooler is also crucial, as some Flex models may have this feature.
