2018 Ford Edge Engine — Part # SS0090 — Weller Auto Parts-Gold Seal, Team PRP, CDC · Grand Rapids, MI

When considering an engine replacement for your 2018 Ford Edge, one often overlooked factor is the drivetrain and transmission compatibility. This engine is specifically from a front-wheel drive (FWD) model with an automatic transmission (AT), which is crucial to match for proper fit and function. The listed engine is a 3.5L variant, known for its balance of power and efficiency in the Edge lineup. With approximately 45,000 miles, this engine offers a substantial amount of life left, but mileage alone doesn't guarantee condition, so further inspection is advised. This engine is graded A by the seller, indicating a high-quality used part, and the estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg suggests an environmentally conscious choice by reusing rather than replacing with a new engine. However, buyers should verify the engine's specific configuration and compatibility with their vehicle's VIN and options, as variations in engine tuning and ancillary components can exist. When comparing this engine to others, consider the drivetrain (FWD vs. AWD), transmission type, and engine displacement to ensure seamless integration. The seller stock identifier SS0090 can help track this specific unit for inquiries or warranty discussions. This engine is sourced from a 2018 Ford Edge, so it aligns with that model year and manufacturer specifications.
