When replacing an engine, one of the most critical yet often overlooked considerations is ensuring the exact match of specifications such as displacement, drivetrain configuration, and transmission compatibility. This engine is specifically from a 2017 Ford Transit Connect, featuring a 2.5-liter displacement, front-wheel drive (FWD), and designed to work with an automatic transmission (AT). These details are essential to confirm before purchase to avoid fitment issues or performance mismatches. This listing offers a Grade A engine, indicating top condition as per the seller's grading system. The seller notes include a 9/16 measurement, which may relate to a specific dimension or mounting point, though this should be verified for your application. Additionally, the estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg suggests this engine replacement could be a more environmentally conscious choice compared to alternatives. When considering this engine, compare it against your current engine’s specifications, paying close attention to drivetrain layout, engine displacement, and transmission type. While this engine is from a 2017 Transit Connect, compatibility with other model years or variants is not guaranteed and should be independently verified. The seller record confirms the vehicle year, make, and model, along with the engine specifications and condition grade, providing a solid foundation for your evaluation. To proceed confidently, review the Ford parts and Transit Connect parts catalogs to cross-check part numbers and compatibility. If you are ready to upgrade or replace your engine with a reliable, well-maintained unit from a matching donor vehicle, this 2017 Ford Transit Connect engine is a strong candidate. Ensure all compatibility checks are complete, then take the next step to secure this quality engine for your vehicle.
