When selecting an engine replacement, one often overlooked but critical factor is the drivetrain compatibility, especially for all-wheel-drive (AWD) systems. This 2017 Ford Edge engine comes from a vehicle equipped with AWD, which means it is designed to work seamlessly with the AWD drivetrain components, ensuring optimal performance and integration. Using an engine from a different drivetrain configuration can lead to significant installation challenges and operational issues. This listing features an A-grade engine sourced from a 2017 Ford Edge with an estimated mileage of 69,000 miles. The seller notes that the engine ran great and includes a turbocharger, which is an important performance consideration. The presence of a turbo means the engine is designed for enhanced power and efficiency, but also requires compatible supporting systems and maintenance considerations. Before purchasing, compare this engine's specifications with your vehicle’s current engine, especially regarding turbocharging and drivetrain setup. Confirm that your vehicle is AWD and that it matches the turbocharged engine configuration to avoid compatibility problems. The seller’s stock identifier for this engine is V103146, useful for referencing this specific unit.
