2015 Ford Explorer Engine — Part # 260272 — Central Auto Recyclers-CDC, RCD · Concord, NH

When considering an engine replacement for your 2015 Ford Explorer, one often overlooked yet critical factor is the drivetrain compatibility. This engine is specifically from an all-wheel-drive (AWD) model, which means it is optimized for vehicles equipped with AWD systems. Installing an engine from a different drivetrain configuration could lead to performance issues or require additional modifications. This listing features a 3.5-liter engine paired with an automatic transmission (AT) from a 2015 Ford Explorer with approximately 81,000 miles. The engine is graded A, indicating it is in excellent condition according to the seller. While the seller notes the mileage and drivetrain, there is no explicit confirmation of other components such as sensors or mounts included with the engine, so buyers should verify what is included. When comparing engines, consider the exact engine displacement, transmission type, and drivetrain to ensure compatibility. The 3.5L engine is a common option for the 2015 Explorer, but differences in AWD versus 2WD models can be significant. Additionally, confirm the engine's condition grade and mileage to balance cost against longevity. This engine is ideal for those seeking a reliable replacement that aligns with the original vehicle specifications. The seller notes an estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg, which may be relevant for environmentally conscious buyers or those tracking emissions impact.
