When considering an engine replacement, one of the most critical yet often overlooked factors is the engine's operational history and mileage, as these directly impact performance and longevity. This 2014 Ford Taurus engine, with 112,000 miles, comes from an all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicle and was reported to run great by the seller. The mileage indicates moderate use, which is a key consideration for buyers seeking durability and value. This engine is graded A, suggesting it is in excellent condition relative to other used engines. However, buyers should verify compatibility with their specific Taurus model year and configuration, as this listing is based on the donor vehicle's details. The AWD aspect is particularly important since engine components and calibrations can differ between AWD and front-wheel-drive models. Comparing this engine to others on the market involves checking the mileage, condition grade, drivetrain compatibility, and any included components. This engine listing does not specify included accessories or parts, so confirm what is included before purchase. The seller notes an estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg, reflecting the environmental benefit of reusing this engine rather than manufacturing a new one. The seller's stock identifier for this engine is V102993, which can be useful for follow-up inquiries or referencing this specific unit. For those seeking parts for their Ford Taurus, reviewing Ford parts and Taurus parts may provide additional options or complementary components. Before finalizing your purchase, ensure to verify the engine's fitment with your vehicle's VIN and drivetrain setup, inspect the engine's condition if possible, and clarify what is included in the sale. Taking these steps will help secure a reliable engine replacement that meets your vehicle's needs.
