When considering a replacement engine for your 2014 Dodge Journey, one often overlooked factor is the engine's history and condition, which directly impact performance and longevity. This listing features a front-wheel-drive (FWD) engine with 133,000 miles, graded A, indicating it was in great running condition at removal. The seller notes it "ran great," which suggests reliable operation, but buyers should verify compatibility with their specific Journey trim and engine code to ensure a proper fit. This engine comes from a 2014 Dodge Journey, a mid-size crossover SUV known for its versatility. While the seller does not specify the engine displacement or configuration, the FWD detail helps narrow down the application. Potential buyers should compare their vehicle's engine specifications, including engine type and transmission compatibility, to this unit. Also, consider the mileage of 133K, which is moderate for used engines and may require inspection for wear or maintenance history. Compared to purchasing a new engine, this used option offers significant savings and a lower environmental impact, as the seller estimates CO2e savings of 1194 kg. However, unlike new engines, used ones come with uncertainties regarding internal wear and remaining lifespan. It's advisable to inquire about any included warranties or return policies.
