2013 Dodge Durango Engine 6S1121

When considering an engine replacement for your 2013 Dodge Durango, one often overlooked but critical factor is the drivetrain and transmission compatibility. This engine is specifically from an all-wheel-drive (AWD) model equipped with an automatic transmission (AT), ensuring it matches the original vehicle's powertrain setup. The engine offered is a 5.7L V8, a robust choice known for delivering strong performance and reliability in the Durango line. With 155,000 miles on it, this unit has been tested and graded A by the seller, indicating good condition despite its mileage. However, mileage alone doesn't guarantee compatibility or longevity, so comparing your vehicle's current engine specifications and condition is essential before purchase. This engine's tested status and the seller's note of estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg highlight its environmental benefit compared to replacing with a new engine, which can be a consideration for eco-conscious buyers. When deciding if this engine suits your needs, verify the exact engine code and confirm that your Durango's drivetrain configuration matches the AWD and automatic transmission setup. Additionally, check for any included components or accessories, as none are listed here, so you may need to source parts like wiring harnesses or sensors separately. The seller's stock identifier 6S1121 helps track this specific unit, but it is not an OEM or interchange number. Use it when communicating with the seller for precise inquiries.
