2012 Chevy Equinox Engine — Part # 00251152 — Smith Auto & Truck Parts, Inc.-PRP Freight · Garden City, KS

When considering a replacement engine for your 2012 Chevy Equinox, one often overlooked factor is the engine's operational history and condition, which directly impacts performance and longevity. This particular engine, identified by seller stock number 00251152, is graded A and was reported to have "ran good," suggesting it was in solid working order at the time of removal. Such a condition is crucial for ensuring your vehicle maintains reliable operation after installation. This engine comes from a 2012 Chevy Equinox, a midsize SUV known for its balance of performance and utility. While the seller notes it ran well, buyers should confirm the engine's compatibility with their specific Equinox trim and configuration, as variations in engine options and vehicle packages can affect fitment. It is also prudent to verify details like mileage, any history of repairs, and the presence of all necessary components for installation. Compared to purchasing a brand-new engine, this used unit offers potential cost savings and environmental benefits, as indicated by the estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg. However, buyers should weigh these benefits against the uncertainties inherent in used parts, such as unknown wear and tear or previous damage. Before purchasing, compare this engine against other available options by reviewing condition grades, seller notes, and any included warranties or return policies. The provided seller notes and grade help establish a baseline expectation, but additional inspection or consultation with a mechanic is advisable. For more information and to explore compatible parts, consider browsing Chevy parts and specifically Equinox parts. Taking these steps will help ensure you select the right engine for your vehicle's needs. Act now to secure a quality engine that can restore your 2012 Chevy Equinox's performance while contributing to environmental sustainability.
