2005 GMC Truck Envoy Xl Engine — Part # 0124-3513 — Sorrels Auto & Truck, LLC · Columbia, MO

When considering an engine replacement for your 2005 GMC Truck Envoy XL, one critical but often overlooked factor is verifying the engine's exact specifications and condition to ensure compatibility and performance. This listing offers a 4.2L engine identified by the VIN's 8th digit "S," tailored specifically for the 2005 GMC Truck Envoy XL. The seller notes that the engine "runs great," indicating operational status, but it requires a new oil pan, which is an important detail for installation and budgeting. This engine is graded A, suggesting it is in excellent condition aside from the missing pan. Buyers should compare this to other engines considering both condition and included components. Since the oil pan is not included, you will need to source one separately, which may affect installation time and cost. The seller's note about an estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg highlights an environmental benefit if you are replacing an older, less efficient engine. However, this figure is an estimate and should be considered alongside other factors like mileage and maintenance history. Before purchasing, ensure the engine matches your vehicle's VIN and configuration. Check the engine's compatibility with your specific model year and trim, and confirm the presence or absence of accessories and mounting components. This listing does not specify included components, so plan accordingly. For more detailed parts options, visit our GMC parts and Truck Envoy XL parts sections. If you are ready to upgrade or replace your engine, this 4.2L unit offers a solid foundation with excellent running condition, but be prepared to install a new oil pan. Reach out to the seller for any additional questions and verify all fitment details before purchase to ensure a smooth installation process.
