2004 Ford Excursion Engine FGTE485478

When considering an engine replacement, one of the most critical yet often overlooked factors is the engine's condition and performance history, which directly impact your vehicle's reliability and longevity. This listing features a 2004 Ford Excursion engine, graded A, indicating excellent condition. According to the seller's notes, this engine comes without accessories but was removed from a running vehicle and has good compression across all cylinders, suggesting robust internal health. It is offered as a core exchange unit, which means you may need to return your old engine as part of the purchase process. This engine is specifically from a 2004 Ford Excursion, so while it fits that model, compatibility with other vehicles or model years requires further verification. Buyers should compare engine specifications, mounting points, and electronic connections to ensure a proper fit. The absence of accessories means you will need to source or transfer components such as the alternator, starter, and intake manifold separately. Practical steps before purchasing include confirming the engine's serial number matches your vehicle's requirements, verifying the condition of the core you are exchanging, and checking for any warranty or return policies offered by the seller. The seller's note about estimated CO2e savings highlights an environmentally conscious choice by reusing a quality engine rather than manufacturing a new one. This engine listing is supported by seller-provided details including the year, make, model, part type, and condition grade. The stock identifier FGTE485478 can be used for reference when communicating with the seller.
