When replacing the rear leaf spring on your 1999 Chevy Corvette, one often overlooked factor is ensuring the exact match of the spring's dimensions and mounting points to maintain proper suspension geometry and ride quality. This rear leaf spring is specifically sourced from a 1999 Chevy Corvette and graded "A" for quality, indicating it is in excellent condition as per the seller's notes. The leaf spring is a critical component of your vehicle's rear suspension, responsible for supporting weight, absorbing shocks, and maintaining alignment. Given the unique suspension setup of the Corvette, using a part directly from the same year and model ensures compatibility with the chassis and suspension components. Before purchasing, confirm that the spring matches your Corvette's configuration, as variations can exist within model years due to options or sub-models. Comparing the part number 15-017 with your existing spring or consulting with a professional can help verify fitment. This listing does not specify included hardware or bushings, so you may need to source those separately. The seller's note confirms the part's origin and condition but does not provide detailed measurements or testing results. When selecting a replacement leaf spring, consider whether your Corvette has any suspension modifications or if it is a standard setup. This will affect whether this part is suitable.
