1999 Chevy Corvette AC Evaporator — Part # FE3891 — Frank's Auto & Truck Parts · Brownsville, TX

When replacing the AC evaporator in a 1999 Chevy Corvette, one often overlooked factor is ensuring the unit matches the vehicle's specific climate control system and physical mounting points. The AC evaporator is a critical component of your Corvette's air conditioning system, responsible for absorbing heat from the cabin air and providing cool air circulation. This particular AC evaporator, identified by seller stock number FE3891, is listed as a grade X part, which may indicate a specific condition or grading by the seller that should be verified before purchase. This evaporator is specifically sourced from a 1999 Chevy Corvette, ensuring it is designed for the exact fit and function in that model year. However, buyers should confirm the configuration of their vehicle's AC system and any variations in evaporator design that might exist for different trims or production runs within that year. Comparing this part to your existing evaporator in terms of size, inlet/outlet connections, and mounting brackets is essential. The seller's note confirms the part's origin but provides limited detail on condition or included components, so inspecting the part upon receipt or requesting additional photos is advisable. When considering this evaporator, compare it against other available options, including new aftermarket or OEM replacements, to weigh factors like cost, condition, and warranty. For those maintaining or restoring a 1999 Chevy Corvette, this evaporator could be a valuable component to restore your AC system's functionality. To proceed confidently, verify compatibility with your vehicle's exact AC system setup and consider the seller's grading information.
