1997 Ford Truck F450 Not Super Duty Engine — Part # 00230696 — General Auto Recycling · Tiverton, RI

When considering a replacement engine for your 1997 Ford Truck F450 (not Super Duty), one of the most critical yet often overlooked factors is the engine's operational condition and compatibility with your specific vehicle model. This listing offers a Grade C engine, which the seller notes "runs good" and even provides a video upon request to verify its running condition. This can be invaluable in assessing performance before purchase, especially since engine condition directly impacts reliability and vehicle longevity. This engine is specifically from a 1997 Ford Truck F450 that is not the Super Duty variant, so buyers should confirm that their vehicle matches this exact model year and specification to ensure compatibility. The seller's note about the engine running well is promising, but the Grade C rating suggests some wear or cosmetic issues may be present, which is typical for used engines of this age. Comparing this engine to others, consider the engine's grade, running status, and any available media like videos to verify condition. Also, check if your vehicle's engine configuration matches this donor engine, including mounting points and connections, which are not detailed here and require buyer verification. The seller stock identifier 00230696 is unique to this listing and should be referenced when inquiring or ordering.
