Description

When replacing an engine, one of the most critical yet often overlooked aspects is ensuring the exact match of engine specifications and transmission compatibility to your vehicle's original setup. This 1997 Ford E350 Van engine is a 6.8-liter V10 paired with an Automatic Overdrive (AOD) transmission, specifically from the XLT trim level. This detail is essential because engines and transmissions are often paired for optimal performance and fitment. The seller notes that this engine has been tested, which provides some assurance of its operational condition, and it carries a grade A rating, indicating high quality. Additionally, the estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg suggests an environmental benefit compared to replacing with a less efficient or non-tested unit. When considering this engine, verify that your vehicle matches the 1997 Ford E350 Van with a 6.8L engine and AOD transmission, as differences in model years, engine sizes, or transmission types can affect compatibility. Also, check if your vehicle's trim level and configuration align with the XLT designation to ensure proper fit and function. Comparatively, this engine is a direct donor from the same year and model, which typically reduces installation complexity and potential issues. However, buyers should confirm details such as engine serial numbers, wiring harness compatibility, and emission system configurations before purchase. This listing's seller stock identifier is 25J042, which can be useful when communicating with the seller or referencing this specific engine. If you are ready to restore or upgrade your 1997 Ford E350 Van, this tested 6.8L AOD engine offers a reliable replacement option. Confirm your vehicle's specifications carefully and reach out to the seller for any additional details to ensure a smooth purchase and installation process.
