1997 Chevy Corvette Exhaust Muffler — Part # JY1 — Cleveland Power & Performance · Columbia Station, OH

When replacing an exhaust muffler on your 1997 Chevy Corvette, one often overlooked factor is ensuring the side and fitment match exactly to avoid installation issues and performance loss. This listing offers a right-hand (RH) exhaust muffler specifically from a 1997 Chevy Corvette, providing a direct donor part that aligns with the vehicle's original configuration. The muffler is graded "X" by the seller, indicating a certain condition or quality level that should be verified before purchase. Exhaust mufflers play a critical role in reducing engine noise and controlling exhaust flow, so selecting the correct side and model year is essential. This part is sourced from a Corvette, so it is tailored to that vehicle's exhaust layout and specifications. However, buyers should confirm compatibility with their own vehicle's exact trim and exhaust setup, as variations can exist even within the same model year. When comparing options, consider the muffler's side designation (RH here), condition grade, and whether the part includes all necessary mounting components. This listing does not specify included components, so you may need to acquire additional hardware separately. The seller's stock identifier "JY1" can help track or inquire about this specific unit. If you require a left-hand muffler or a different grade, consider searching accordingly. Ensure you verify the muffler's condition and fitment with your vehicle before purchase to avoid installation challenges. If you have questions about this right-hand muffler or need assistance confirming compatibility, contact the seller or a qualified mechanic. Taking these steps will help you restore your Corvette's exhaust system effectively and maintain its performance and sound quality.
