1997 Chevy Corvette A/C Heater Control — Part # ZL8183 — All American Classics · Vancouver, WA

When replacing the A/C heater control in your 1997 Chevy Corvette, one often overlooked factor is the condition of the temperature control applique, which can affect both aesthetics and usability. This particular part, identified by the seller stock number ZL8183, is a manual temperature control unit designed specifically for the 1997 Chevy Corvette. The seller notes that the applique—the decorative overlay on the control—is cracked, which may impact the visual appeal but does not necessarily affect the functionality of the control itself. This A/C heater control is graded A, indicating it is in good overall condition aside from the noted applique crack. When considering this part, compare it carefully to your existing control to ensure compatibility, especially since the applique condition might influence your decision if appearance is a priority. Also, verify the control type matches your vehicle's configuration, as manual controls differ from digital or automatic climate control units. The seller record confirms this part is from a 1997 Chevy Corvette, so it is tailored to that model year and make. To proceed confidently, check your vehicle's current control for matching connectors, mounting points, and control type. If the applique crack is a concern, consider whether you can replace or repair the applique separately or if you prefer a part with an intact applique.
