1987 Toyota Supra Timing Cover — Part # HA1486 — Hans Foreign Auto & Truck Parts · Elk River, MN

When replacing or repairing the timing cover on your 1987 Toyota Supra, it's crucial to ensure the part matches your engine specifications and condition expectations. This listing offers an upper timing cover specifically from a 7MGE engine, which is known for its inline-six configuration and reliability. The timing cover protects the timing belt or chain and associated components from debris and oil leakage, so integrity and fitment are essential. This particular timing cover is graded 'X' by the seller, indicating a specific condition level that you should verify against your needs. The seller notes confirm it is the upper timing cover, which is a key detail since timing covers can be upper or lower and are not interchangeable. Dimensions and mounting points are not provided here, so comparing your existing part or consulting a professional mechanic is advised. Before purchasing, check the part against your vehicle's engine code and confirm that your Supra uses the 7MGE engine, as fitment can vary between engine types. Also, inspect the part's condition carefully upon receipt, focusing on any cracks, warping, or wear that could compromise sealing. For further confidence, review other Toyota parts and explore more options within the Timing Cover category. If you own a Supra, browsing Supra parts might help you find complementary components. Ensure this timing cover matches your repair requirements and engine variant before ordering. If unsure, consult a professional or request additional photos or details from the seller. This approach will help maintain your Supra's performance and longevity.
