When considering an engine replacement for your 1986 Chevy S 10, one often overlooked aspect is the condition and history of the engine. This listing features a used engine with a seller grade of C, indicating it has notable wear or issues, specifically described as a "BAD MTR" with 362,900 miles. This high mileage and condition suggest it may require significant repairs or rebuilding before reliable use. This engine is sourced directly from a 1986 Chevy S 10, ensuring it matches the original vehicle's specifications. However, buyers should verify compatibility with their specific model and engine variant, as this listing does not provide detailed technical specifications or confirmation of exact fitment beyond the donor vehicle. The seller notes an estimated CO2e savings of 1194kg, reflecting the environmental benefit of reusing this engine rather than manufacturing new parts. While this is a positive consideration for eco-conscious buyers, the engine's "BAD MTR" status means you should carefully assess its mechanical condition. Before purchasing, compare this engine's condition and mileage with other available options, considering the cost and availability of repairs. It's also wise to confirm the engine's configuration details, such as displacement, fuel system, and mounting points, to ensure it matches your vehicle's requirements. This listing is identified by seller stock number 151458 and is categorized under Chevy parts, specifically for the 1986 Chevy S 10. For more options and details, explore other Chevy parts. If you are prepared for potential refurbishment or need a core for rebuilding, this engine could be suitable.
