1985 Chevy Corvette Engine — Part # 173397 — Henry's Auto Parts · Gambrills, MD

When considering an engine replacement for your 1985 Chevy Corvette, one of the most critical factors often overlooked is the transmission compatibility, especially since this engine is listed with an automatic transmission (AT). Ensuring that the engine matches your vehicle's transmission type can save you from costly modifications and installation headaches. This specific engine, identified by seller stock number 173397, comes from a 1985 Chevy Corvette and is graded as 'X' by the seller, which may indicate a particular condition or quality level that you should verify directly. This engine is a direct donor unit from the 1985 Corvette, making it a suitable choice if you are restoring or repairing the same model year. However, since the seller notes include "NTS Estimated CO2e Savings: 1194kg," it suggests some environmental consideration or possibly a remanufactured or low-emission variant, though this is not explicitly confirmed. Buyers should inquire about the exact condition and any included components, as none are specified here. When comparing this engine to others, consider the transmission type, engine condition grade, and any environmental or performance notes. Confirm the engine's internal condition, mileage, and compatibility with your Corvette’s existing systems. The seller's grade 'X' and the CO2e savings note are unique factors to weigh against other listings. This listing provides a direct fit for the 1985 Chevy Corvette, but you should verify compatibility specifics such as engine code, transmission match, and included parts before purchase.
