1977 Dodge 100 Van Engine — Part # 23G296 — Gentry and Associates, Inc. · Newnan, GA

When considering an engine replacement for your 1977 Dodge 100 Van, one crucial factor often overlooked is the drivetrain configuration and transmission compatibility. This engine is specifically from a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) model equipped with an Automatic Overdrive (AOD) transmission, which significantly affects installation and performance outcomes. Ensuring your vehicle matches these drivetrain and transmission specifications is key to a successful fit. This listing features a 318 cubic inch engine from a March 1977 Dodge 100 Van, noted with a grade X condition by the seller. The grade likely indicates the engine's state but does not specify if it is complete or requires repairs. The seller also estimates a CO2e savings of 1194kg, an environmental consideration for those mindful of their carbon footprint. When comparing this engine to others, verify the exact model year and drivetrain setup of your van to avoid compatibility issues. Note that this engine is from a rear-wheel-drive vehicle, so it may not suit front-wheel-drive configurations. The AOD transmission compatibility further narrows its fitment. Buyers should confirm these details against their vehicle's specifications before purchase. The seller record identifies this part with stock number 23G296 and provides no additional components included. This engine is a core component; therefore, understanding its condition and completeness is essential. For more information on similar components or to explore other options, consider browsing Dodge parts. If you are ready to proceed, verify your vehicle's drivetrain and transmission type, inspect the engine's condition upon receipt, and prepare for potential installation adjustments. This approach ensures you select the right engine for your 1977 Dodge 100 Van and achieve optimal performance.
